This Privacy Policy pertains to BaseHub Corp. ("BaseHub"). Safeguarding and upholding the confidentiality of your data are primary concerns for BaseHub. For inquiries about privacy and personal data, please feel free to contact us at legal@basehub.com.

We gather personal data directly from you, which you voluntarily submit to us when utilizing the BaseHub Services. This may include information provided during account setup, correspondence through customer support tools, emails, or other means.

Additionally, personal data is collected when you provide information through our website, such as completing forms, subscribing to mailing lists, newsletters, or other marketing communications, or utilizing various features on our site.

This privacy policy elucidates the types, extents, and objectives of personal data collection and usage, structured as follows:

Detailed information about the personal data we collect and use on our platform is presented in Section 1.

General aspects concerning personal data processing and your rights are outlined in Section 2.

Any privacy-related requests can be directed to privacy@basehub.com.

We retain the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. All revisions become effective immediately upon posting on our website. Significant alterations will be prominently displayed on our website or communicated through other means.

1. Summary of Personal Data Collection and Usage

1.1 Login Information and Customer-Provided Data

In order to access the full range of BaseHub services, registration is mandatory. Registration can be accomplished using third-party identity providers like Google and Github. If you choose this route, these providers will share your name, email address, and profile picture (if available) with BaseHub. However, BaseHub will not have access to your password. If you opt for direct signup with BaseHub, you will need to provide just your email address. Additional information may be submitted during login, including your name, a username, and a profile picture. Both registration methods necessitate this data to create and manage your user account, enabling service usage.

For fee-based services, the name, address, email address, and phone number of your organization (or personal information if applicable) are required for payment purposes. This data is also processed by our payment processor. Credit card information remains inaccessible to BaseHub and is solely handled by our payment processor. We use Stripe to process payments.

Your name and email address will be retained, and this information will be used for sending marketing communications. To provide these services, we may share this data with third-party vendors. You can opt out of these email communications at any time. Periodically, important service updates will be sent via email to all registered users using the same third-party vendors.

According to relevant data protection laws, BaseHub is the data controller for the personal data of our service users.

1.2 Content-Related Information Owned by Users

BaseHub users can upload diverse content such as texts, images, videos, and music files via the BaseHub Services, referred to as "Customer Data" in our General Terms and Conditions. This data might occasionally, but not typically, contain personal data. In this context, BaseHub acts as a data processor on behalf of the user, not the data controller. Data processing and storage take place within the framework of service provision, as outlined in the General Terms and Conditions and our Agreement with you or your associated entity.

1.3 Data Collected via APIs and SDKs

Through an Application Programming Interface (API), BaseHub users can integrate their content into internal or third-party systems from other providers. The specific systems are not determined by BaseHub but can encompass content delivery systems, native mobile applications, digital signage systems, and content optimization services. Users have the option to configure SDKs to send the identity (user ID) of logged-in users to our APIs. This configuration is determined by the client and not controlled by BaseHub.

1.4 Information Obtained through Automated Data Collection

Upon accessing BaseHub Services via browsers, the Command Line Interface (CLI), or other means, certain data is automatically transmitted for technical reasons. This includes IP address, access date and time, browser type and version, operating system, previously visited website URL, data volume transferred, and performance metrics such as latencies and caching. This data is gathered for security, troubleshooting, and aggregate statistics, without being associated with specific individuals.

Logged-in users transmit authentication information through cookies or headers for authorization. This information is separate from access logs but operational data provided by users can be logged for audit logs.

During visits to our website at basehub.com, aggregate statistics about user actions are collected for analytical purposes. These statistics are stored by a third-party processor to enhance our website and service.

For error diagnosis, information relevant to the error may be temporarily logged and stored with a third-party processor when using our services.

1.5 Analytics and Marketing

BaseHub utilizes PostHog Analytics and Vercel Analytics for aggregate statistics on website usage, including remarketing.

1.6 Cookies

BaseHub employs "cookies" to provide various functionalities. These are small files stored on your computer via your browser. If you choose to deactivate cookies, website functionality may be impacted. More details about the cookies we use can be found in Appendix 1.

1.7 Additional Information

BaseHub may also offer a free newsletter service, updating subscribers about BaseHub Services changes. Subscribers can opt out of the newsletter at any time.
